Terms of Service

Welcome to Sira Royal Braids ("SRB", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, online booking system, and in-salon services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using any part of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Definitions

• Client, you, your – any individual who visits our website, books an appointment, or receives hair-braiding services from SRB.
• Appointment – a scheduled service time booked via our online system, phone, or in person.
• Site – https://siraroyalbraids.com and all associated sub-domains.
• Deposit – a partial, non-refundable payment (if applicable) required to secure an appointment.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have verifiable parental/guardian consent to use our Services. By booking an appointment, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is truthful and complete.

3. Booking Policies

1. Account & Information – You may book as a guest or create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.
2. Confirmation – Your appointment is confirmed only after you receive a confirmation email or SMS. We reserve the right to refuse or reschedule any booking at our discretion.
3. Arrival Time – Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time. Late arrivals (15 minutes or more) may be considered a no-show, shortened, or rescheduled with applicable fees.
4. Health & Contra-Indications – You must disclose allergies, scalp conditions, or medical issues that may affect service delivery. Failure to do so releases SRB from related liability.

4. Payment Terms

1. Pricing – All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD) and are subject to change without notice, but the price quoted at booking will be honored. Taxes or mandatory surcharges will be added where applicable.
2. Deposits – Certain services require a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking, processed via Stripe. Deposits are applied to the final balance due at the end of the appointment.
3. Payment Methods – We accept major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay/Google Pay (via Stripe), and cash in-salon. Checks are not accepted.
4. Outstanding Balances – All balances must be paid in full upon completion of service. Failure to pay may result in collection efforts and suspension of future booking privileges.

5. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refunds

Refunds for completed services are generally not provided. If you are dissatisfied, notify us before leaving the salon and we will make reasonable efforts to address concerns at no additional cost.

6. Service Expectations

1. Consultation – We strive to understand your desired style; however, results depend on hair type, prior treatments, and aftercare.
2. Aftercare – We provide aftercare guidance. Failure to follow instructions may impact longevity and appearance of your style; SRB is not responsible for resulting issues.
3. Photography – With your permission, we may photograph completed styles for our portfolio and marketing. Images will not include client names unless explicitly agreed.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site—including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and software—is the exclusive property of SRB or its licensors and protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit any content without our prior written consent.

8. Third-Party Services

Our booking platform uses Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), and Google Calendar. Your use of these integrated services may be subject to their separate terms and policies. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SRB, its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid SRB for the applicable service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SRB, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

(a) your use of the Services;

(b) your breach of these Terms; or

(c) your violation of any law or third-party right.

11. Privacy

Your personal information is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you consent to such processing.

12. Modifications to Services & Terms

We may modify or discontinue any part of the Services at any time with or without notice. We may also amend these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the Site and, where legally required, we'll notify you via email. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, Prince George's County, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

You and SRB will first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiations. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes (other than qualifying small-claims matters) will be finally settled by binding arbitration in Washington, D.C., administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Each party will bear its own costs. Nothing prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in court for intellectual-property or data-security matters.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be struck and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any policies referenced herein (including the Privacy Policy), constitute the entire agreement between you and SRB regarding the Services and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications.
